Unveils “Mobile CPS-IV,” an Integrated Oxygen Supply and Medical Suction System

Chosun Instrument will participate in the 13th K-HOSPITAL+HEALTHTECH FAIR (KHF 2026), taking place at COEX in Seoul from August 19 to 21, where it will showcase its next-generation ambulance oxygen supply system, the Mobile CPS-IV.

 

The Mobile CPS-IV was developed to address inconveniences associated with the installation and management of conventional ambulance oxygen supply systems. The product integrates both oxygen supply and medical suction functions into a single module.

One of its key features is the ability to monitor oxygen cylinder pressure and actual oxygen consumption in real time. Based on this information, the system calculates and displays the estimated remaining oxygen usage time. This enables emergency medical personnel not only to check how much oxygen remains, but also to intuitively understand how long the available oxygen supply will last at the current rate of consumption.

 

Oxygen is a critical medical resource directly linked to patient survival during emergency transport. When ambulances are required to remain at the scene for extended periods due to traffic conditions, disasters, or mass-casualty incidents, or when transporting patients over long distances, emergency responders must continuously monitor oxygen consumption and remaining supply.

 

By providing the estimated remaining oxygen usage time in real time, the Mobile CPS-IV helps reduce the burden of repeatedly checking and assessing oxygen levels, allowing emergency personnel to focus more closely on patient care and on-scene response. 

“Integrating Oxygen Supply and Medical Suction into a Single Module”

Another major feature of the Mobile CPS-IV is the integration of oxygen supply and medical suction into one module. Conventional ambulance oxygen systems generally require oxygen-related components and other devices to be installed and connected individually inside the vehicle.

 

This can result in variations in installation quality depending on the technician’s level of experience, while the need to install and connect multiple individual components also increases assembly time and management complexity. To address these challenges, Chosun Instrument designed the system as a single integrated module that can be installed directly into the ambulance. This allows ambulance manufacturers to reduce complicated component-by-component installation and connection work while maintaining a more consistent installation process and quality level.

 

The value of the Mobile CPS-IV extends beyond supporting emergency personnel in the field. For ambulance manufacturers, the integrated design can reduce variations in installation quality and lessen the quality-control burden associated with separately installing numerous components.

 

By simplifying the system into a single integrated module, manufacturers can implement a more standardized oxygen supply system during vehicle production. This is expected to improve production efficiency, minimize vehicle-to-vehicle installation differences, and contribute to more consistent finished-vehicle quality.

 

Because the oxygen supply system can also be managed as an independent module, it is expected to provide an efficient manufacturing and quality-control solution for both ambulance manufacturers and medical equipment manufacturers.

Advancing the Integration, Standardization and Smartization of Ambulance Medical Equipment

At KHF 2026, Chosun Instrument plans to highlight how the Mobile CPS-IV represents a new direction for the integration, standardization, and smart management of medical equipment in ambulances. For emergency responders, the system provides real-time information on remaining oxygen usage time, helping reduce operational burden in the field. For ambulance manufacturers, its single-module design enables a more stable, standardized, and consistent oxygen supply system.

 

Chosun Instrument explained, “The Mobile CPS-IV was developed not simply as another oxygen supply device, but with the goal of simultaneously addressing challenges faced by emergency responders in the field and by manufacturers during ambulance production.”

The company added that the product’s core value lies in “reducing emergency responders’ concerns over remaining oxygen supply so they can focus on patient treatment, while also providing ambulance manufacturers with standardized installation and improved quality consistency.”

 

 

The Mobile CPS-IV is scheduled to be introduced in new-model ambulances beginning in 2027. Visitors to KHF 2026 will be able to see the actual Mobile CPS-IV at the Chosun Instrument booth and experience key functions such as the real-time remaining oxygen usage display.
